This is a full-time, year-round position, with our summer months offering a thoughtfully planned, summer-themed Montessori program that continues to support consistency, connection, and meaningful experiences for children.

Position Details

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
Employment type: Full-time, year-round
Work location: In person

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support one of our Casa classrooms alongside an experienced Montessori Directress
  • Work with a small group of 8–14 children, ages 2.5–6 years
  • Assist with daily classroom routines, transitions, and preparation of the environment
  • Support children during lunch and outdoor time
  • Lead the aftercare portion of the day for a small group of children
  • Maintain a calm, respectful, and engaging classroom environment aligned with Montessori principles
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and families

Qualifications:

  • Montessori training from a MACTE- or AMI-accredited program or Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) designation
  • Experience working with children ages 2.5–6 years
  • Proficient written and oral English communication skills
  • Valid Police Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Health Assessment including a current immunization record
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively within a small school environment

Compensation

Hourly wage: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Standard First Aid training
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • 2 years experience and passion working with young children
